7 Spring Cleaning Hacks to Cut Time in Half: Speed Cleaning Tips

It’s that time of year again! The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and spring is in the air. This also means it’s time for spring cleaning! But who has time to spend hours upon hours cleaning their house? Not me, that’s for sure. That’s why I’ve gathered some of the best speed cleaning tips to help you cut your cleaning time in half! Check them out below.

Tip #01: Work from top to bottom.

When you work from top to bottom, you avoid having to clean the same area twice. So start by dusting and vacuuming the ceilings and walls, then move on to cleaning the floors.

You’re less likely to miss a spot and have to go back up. This also means that you’ll be able to use gravity to your advantage by dumping dirt and dust down as you clean.

Tip #02: Make a list of what needs to be done.

When you have a list of what needs to be done, you can work more efficiently and avoid any guesswork. Plus, it’s less overwhelming than looking at an empty cleaning slate.

Break your spring cleaning tasks down into categories like bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, kitchen, etc., and then make a checklist for each category. This way you can easily see what still needs to be done.

This may seem like an obvious one, but it’s easy to get overwhelmed when spring cleaning if you don’t know where to start. Making a list will help keep you organized and on track.

Tip #03: Use the right tools for the job.

You can save a lot of time by using the right tools for the job. For example, using a microfiber cloth to dust instead of a feather duster.

Microfiber cloths are great because they attract and hold dust, so you don’t have to go over the same area multiple times. And they work on both wet and dry surfaces, so you can use them to clean countertops, mirrors, windows, etc.

Another great tool to have on hand is a good vacuum cleaner. If you have carpeting, make sure you get a vacuum that’s specifically designed for it. This will help ensure that all the dirt and dust is removed from your carpets and won’t just get pushed around.

If you have the wrong tool for the job, chances are you won’t be able to clean as efficiently. Make sure you have the right supplies on hand before you start cleaning.

Tip #04: Don’t forget the little things.

When you’re speed cleaning, it’s easy to forget the little things. But it’s important to clean all surfaces, not just the big ones.

This means dusting light fixtures, baseboards, door frames, and anything else that tends to collect dust. Don’t forget to wipe down switch plates and doorknobs too!

All of these surfaces can harbor dirt and dust, so make sure you give them a good cleaning.

Tip #05: Take it one room at a time.

When you’re spring cleaning, it’s tempting to try and do everything at once. But this will just make the task seem more daunting and overwhelming.

Instead, take it one room at a time. This way you can focus on one area and get it completely clean before moving on to the next.

You’ll be able to work more efficiently this way and avoid getting bogged down in a single room.

Trying to tackle your whole house at once is not realistic and likely won’t get done efficiently. Instead, focus on one room at a time and move on to the next when you’re finished.

Tip #06: Delegate tasks.

If you have kids or a partner, why not delegate some of the spring cleaning tasks to them? This can help lighten the load and make the task more fun.

Kids can help dust, vacuum, and wipe down surfaces. And if your partner is up for it, they can take on tasks like scrubbing toilets or sweeping floors.

By delegating some of the tasks, you’ll be able to get things done quicker and everyone can feel like they’ve contributed.

If you have family or roommates, delegate some of the spring cleaning tasks to them! This will help get the job done quicker and everyone will be happy with the results.

Tip #07: Reward yourself!

After all your hard work, you deserve a reward. So once you’re finished spring cleaning, take some time for yourself.

Take a relaxing bath, watch your favorite movie, or read that book you’ve been meaning to start. Whatever it is, make sure you give yourself a break after all your hard work.

You did it! Now enjoy your clean house and take some well-deserved time for yourself.

What are some of the benefits of Spring cleaning?

Spring cleaning is an opportunity to get rid of all the stuff you don’t need and make your home more livable.

Spring cleaning can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days, depending on how big your house is and how much stuff you have.

Some benefits of spring cleaning are that it can help reduce stress, improve sleep, and increase productivity. It can also create a sense of accomplishment and make your home more inviting.

How often should you clean your house?

There is no set amount of time that you should spend cleaning your house every day. However, most experts recommend spending at least 30 minutes a day on tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, and mopping.

As for how often you should clean different areas of your home, it depends on the area and how dirty it gets. For example, kitchens and bathrooms typically need to be cleaned more often than other rooms because they are more likely to get dirty.

What are some tips for keeping my house clean?

There are many different ways to keep your house clean without spending hours every day doing it. Some tips include:

-Make sure all surfaces are wiped down daily

-Putting away toys and clothes after using them

-Doing a quick pick-up before bed

-Vacuuming and mopping weekly

-Dust monthly

How do I stop being lazy and start cleaning?

One way to motivate yourself to clean is to set a goal for how much you want to get done each day. This can help you stay on track and avoid feeling overwhelmed.

Another way to stop being lazy and start cleaning is by rewarding yourself after completing a task. For example, take a break after cleaning your bedroom so that you can relax in a clean room. Or, give yourself an hour of free time after spring cleaning is complete. Whatever works best for you!
